The Grand Rapids Human Rights Commission in cooperation with the ISD#318 received a human rights action grant within This is My Home. The goals of this joint project are:
- to imbed the This is My Home human rights curriculum into existing programs that support K-12 literacy inititatives in ISD#318.
- to raise the awareness of teachers and students about human rights issues and how they relate to classroom behavirous and curriculum.
-to improve the school and learning climate through ongoing professional development activities in ISD #318.
