Mandates training on identifying and responding to crimes motivated by the victim’s “race, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, or characteristics identified as sexual orientation.”

 

Minn. Stat. § 626.5531

Specifies requirements for reporting of crimes motivated by victim’s “race, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, or characteristics identified as sexual orientation

 

Minn. Stat. § 609.749

Enhances penalty for designated offenses committed because of the victim’s or another’s “actual or perceived race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age, or national origin.”

Includes damage to property because of the property owner’s or another’s “actual or perceived race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age or national origin.”
